With the help of a trained tour guide, you’ll be able to venture through the vast wilderness in search of Africa’s Big 5. From lions to elephants, rhinos, buffalos and leopards, Kruger has it all. During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to take part in either a sunset or a night drive round the park to seek out some nocturnal wildlife.

Beach Tour, Tofo Bay, Mozambique
Tofo Bay in southern Mozambique presents one of the best opportunities in Africa to snorkel in the wild with the world’s largest fish – the whale shark. Your 7 day tour of Tofo will see you kick back and relax, whilst providing a great way of getting immersed in this laid back and vibrant country. You’ll get the opportunity to take an ocean safari to snorkel with the whale sharks, go on a full days kayak trip to the palm fringed islands in the Inhambane Bay and, if you’re a certified PADI diver, you’ll even get the chance to dive those hours away with tropical fish and boundless coral reefs! There’s also plenty of free time for extra activities such as beach horse rides, surfing, body boarding, deep sea fishing and catamaran cruises. In Mozambique, the world truly is your oyster.
Tour of Cape Town, St. Lucia and Durban
After a final goodbye to your volunteer programme in Swaziland, a brand new adventure awaits as you travel down through the beautiful East Coast of South Africa to Cape Town. Your journey here will see you explore some of the richest and diverse parts of South Africa, including St Lucia’s Greater Wetland Park (a world heritage site) for a boat cruise on the estuary and the Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast around Durban for a cultural tour and to explore Durban’s golden beaches and vivid nightlife.
Tour of the Wild Coast and the Garden Route
Your tour will continue from Durban to the dramatic coastline of the Wild Coast with its beautiful beaches and laid back rural communities. Here you can experience Xhosa rural living at its best whilst exploring the coastal hills. From here you will embark on the world famous Garden Route, where ancient forests, rugged mountain and coastal villages await. While en route, you’ll get the chance to take an unforgettable canopy tour through the Tsitsikama Forest and if your stomach holds out, even have the option of taking a dive off the world’s highest bungee jump (at extra cost)!
Free Time in Cape Town
Spend 2 free days relaxing and exploring Cape Town, the mother city of South Africa. You can while away the hours relaxing on the stunning surrounding beaches, scaling Table Mountain, sauntering along Long Street for a shop or sip of something delightful or wandering around the dock sides of the V&A waterfront. If something a little more extreme takes your fancy, you can always try kloofing (or canyoning as it is more well known) – a combination of climbing, hiking, swimming and jumping or even a cage dive with Mako and Blue sharks to get those pulses racing. Either way, the bustling and cosmopolitan Cape Town has it all and will be sure to provide the perfect backdrop for your final few free days.
Volunteer Project
See South Africa: Medical and Social Outreach in Cape Town for full details of project.
Following your final 3 week volunteer programme, Day 84 will see you returning home from Cape Town International Airport. As you well know, all great adventures must come to an end, but here is your chance to reflect, flick through your pictures and start to plan your next adventure!
