This 4-week Volunteer and Adventure Combo has it all; wildlife, culture, community and adventure.
From the Okavango Delta in Botswana where you’ll come up close and personal to some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife, to the game rich Chobe National Park near Victoria Falls via a rewarding community project in Maun where you’ll help to care for some of Botswana’s most underprivileged children, here is your chance to experience Africa at its finest and to give something back along the way. Situated at the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun is the historically small and somewhat isolated village where you’ll spend 2 weeks providing much needed assistance, education and support to a number of vulnerable children in need. Either side of your volunteer project will be some incredible safaris as well as the chance to spend some time relaxing in Livingstone, near Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

Moremi Game Reserve Tour, Okavango Delta
Botswana is home to the world’s largest inland delta – the Okavango Delta. Sitting along Victoria Falls as one of Africa’s most unique natural wonders, the Okavango Delta is formed through the seasonal flooding of water from the highlands of Angola into the Kalahari Desert. Nestled within the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve plays residence to an abundance of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, raptors, storks and cranes. Your tour will include a 4 night camping safari through the Reserve to the heart of the delta where you will get the chance to encounter of some Botswana’s most incredible wildlife. Whilst camping, you will also have the opportunity to take part in a guided bush walk as well as a night drive where you will go in search of some nocturnal wildlife. On Day 7 you will depart Moremi for your volunteer project in Maun.

Safari through Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls
A 5-day safari lies in wait once you have completed your 2-week volunteer project at Maun. Here you will have the opportunity to travel through the vast stretch of wilderness between the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park, a Mecca for elephants and big predators. Your safari guide will take you deep into the vast plains and savanna woodland, then through the Khwai and Savuti areas of Chobe where you will camp out for 2 nights en route to Kasane. Travelling in true African style in both an open top safari vehicle and by foot, your 5-day safari will have you embracing Africa’s most diverse National Park in search for that all important sighting of Botswana’s big game.
Livingstone, Victoria Falls
Having reached your destination of Kasane at the end of your safari through Chobe, you will then be ferried over the Zambezi River to Livingstone town in Zambia, situated on the edge of the breathtaking Victoria Falls. It is here that you will spend your last 3 days, roaming, exploring or relaxing at your pleasure. There is a huge list of optional activities ready and waiting to fill your spare time (at your own extra cost). Catering to a range of needs, from the calm – cruising by boat upstream of the Victoria Falls, and the wild – while water rafting on the grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi river, right through to the extreme – bungee jumping into the Zamebzi Gorge below the falls, there is sure to be an activity to suit everyone! Sit back, relax (or seek out a thrill or two) and finish your trip in style before heading back to Maun to say your farewells, and fly home on Day 29.
