“Everyone at the school was extremely appreciative of our coming there to work with them. The regular teacher of the class(all teachers are called “Sir” or “Ma’am” in the school) was really easy to work with and very open to all our ideas for games, activities and lessons. After teaching at the school in the morning, we would make the short walk to the Community Center to spend some time there. The children are very excited to have adults there to play games with them and read books to them. It was really neat to see how much pleasure they would get out of such simple things. We really couldn’t have had a better experience with our host family. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like beloved family members.”
