We have just learned that Kaya has been shortlisted for “Best Volunteering Abroad Organisation” at the British Youth Travel Awards, for the 4th year running. We won gold in 2014 and silver in 2013 and 2015, and so we are hoping to regain our number one position again this year when they announce the winners on December 4th!
The whole Kaya staff are bouncing off the walls here today at the news. Everyone on the team works so very hard to uphold the highest ethical standards in the field, working with each individual to provide the best project match, and supporting our volunteers through their experience. Being recognised for that commitment goes a long way to driving our passion, at a time when the world needs educated, compassionate, global citizens more than ever before!
In the year that we have had, it has never been more important for us to continue the work that we do to bring cultures together for better understanding and mutual support. This nomination goes a long way to driving us to keep putting in 100% every day!
Thank you to the hundreds of Kaya volunteers, our projects and our partner institutions who keep supporting our initiatives and the work that we do!
