Project Achievements from Ecuador!

As part of the Education Outreach for Child Workers in the Markets project volunteers bring a pop up tents to the local market in Quito, where many children as young as three work to provide informal education. Although schooling is mandatory in Ecuador it is not enforced and the project aims to work with parents to get children into school.

The project was established in 2003 when one in ten of the children who the project works with went on to attend primary school, now in 2015 all of them do! This is a fantastic project achievement and a testament to the work of the project who have made an impact on the future of the lives of the children in this community!
