Over the course of the years, Morocco became a destination for Sub-Saharan African and MENA region migrants. Indeed, the migrants have been escaping political unrest, civil wars and economic downturns trying to get to Europe’s most popular cities. However, many of them were forced to stay in Morocco due to fear of being caught by the Moroccan or Spanish authorities which would result in deportation to their home countries. That said, the project supports migrants and refugees navigate across the cultural bridges they may encounter by staying in Morocco. The NGO we work with promote their integration within the Moroccan society by providing them with education, professional training and social assistance. The services provided vary and are suited to them depending on their situation and needs. If the migrants have children, the NGO also has a daycare centre on the ground so that the parents can attend workshops while their child is being taken care of. That said, the NGO has the capacity to welcome interns in many areas and allocate you depending on your skills, experience, and interests.
