Intern & Volunteer in Zimbabwe
You will always be greeted with a smile in this extraordinary country with some of the most exciting wildlife in the world. Zimbabwe’s breathtaking landscapes, from the majestic Victoria Falls to the vast savannahs, provide unparalleled opportunities for volunteering, interning and adventure!
Intern or volunteer in Zimbabwe on a wide array of projects that deal with wildlife conservation, veterinary science or rescue and rehabilitation across the country. If working with lions is on your bucket list, you have the chance to do so whilst contributing to conservational efforts in Zimbabwe with us. What better way to gain experience in areas such as community work or animal science than to do so in the Zimbabwe!
Zimbabwe has ongoing economic and governmental issues, which has caused most Zimbabweans to live below the poverty line. Citizens suffer from a lack of resources in both medical and education services, as well as poor economic opportunities. Additionally, wildlife and big cats in particular are in danger from poachers. Our projects are aimed at supporting projects which provide support and solutions for these serious problems.
When you are not volunteering in Zimbabwe, you will be able to book activities to experience more of the adventures and beauty that the land has to offer. If you are feeling particularly brave, book a trip to challenge the limits of the mind at the Victoria Falls bungee jump, arguably the best bungee jump in the world. For another adrenaline-fuelled activity, have a go at Wild White Water rafting at the Zambezi River. Experience the remote wilderness of the Mana pools in the lower Zambezi Valley. Whilst you are exploring, don‘t forget to try local delicacies, such as the mapopo candy, made from papaya. Why not consider seeing more of the region and extend your trip. Travel to the plains of Botswana and the Namib desert, the world’s oldest desert in Namibia. Take a trip to Chimanimani National Park in the east of Zimbabwe to discover wild unspoiled beauty and hike in one of the country’s best hiking spots.
Intern or volunteer in Zimbabwe on one of our projects and you’ll get the chance to work with NGOs that are dedicated to helping local communities. Whichever project you choose, you will be carrying out meaningful work in Zimbabwe and making a real difference!
