Urban greening while developing your CV/resume on an internship with Kaya

If you are considering an internship through our reforestation project you will meet and work alongside Madibu, the gardener responsible for running the urban nursery in Cape Town, South Africa. Our placements with this project include the opportunity for interns to participate in their nursery day which is held once a month, a really worthwhile activity that helps to put the office based marketing and business activities into context.

Madibu, who started as a security guard, has become undeniably passionate about his work in the urban nursery that is located alongside a major highway in central Cape Town. Not only can Madibu describe in detail how working with plants connects people to nature and brings a spiritual element to life, he understands the plants that he raises, the challenges facing the urban garden and a range of eco-friendly sustainable processes.

If you would like to spent time outside and get dirt under your fingernails while developing your CV/resume and learn more about urban greening, compost toilets, worm farms and more, book your place on an events management, PR and Social Media, Graphic Design or permaculture and horticulture internship in Cape Town today!

so we have to pay to be part of the internship?

    • Jennifer Sheeran

Hi Puleng. The internship placements we offer do incur a cost. This includes your accommodation, airport transfers, support on the ground, and, in some cases, meals. If you are interested in interning with a Kaya project but would like some further information on fundraising and scholarships available you can check out our blog and scholarship page or get in touch to discuss it further with one of our team. Hope that helps!
