Exciting news this week! The whale-sharks have arrived early to the Caribbean waters of Belize and Kaya marine conservation volunteers have been delighted with visits from the gentle giants of the sea. With awesome visibility and perfect conditions, the team have been documenting the sightings and taking data as part of a global whaleshark research initiative.
The whaleshark’s official season in these waters is March to June, so if you are looking for an Easter, or Spring break option, they should still be around. If you would like to take part in this dive conservation initiative then click read more about it here, or contact the Kaya team for more details.
