Animal Science Conservation Internship
For those studying animal and wildlife sciences, interning in this field offers a chance to work with a wide variety of creatures in unique environments. Kaya partners with a diverse range of animal projects focused on wildlife protection, rehabilitation, and rescue. From African big cats to elephants in Thailand and parrots in Ecuador, there are numerous species that benefit from the work of our interns. As an animal science intern, you can engage in work observing animal behavior, gathering data for conservation studies, assisting with animal care and learning about the challenges faced in the conflicts between humans and animal habitats.
For those interested in Zoology you have the chance to play a role in helping animals coexist with humans and preserving their habitats. Through your efforts, such as monitoring animal behaviors for conservation research or supporting anti-poaching initiatives, you can contribute to the survival of species in need.
For those studying to work in the veterinary field, we have a number of placement working hands-on with animals alongside vets caring for animals at wildlife rescue sanctuaries and animal welfare initiatives.
You can also assist with education initiatives that engage local communities in understanding and valuing their local wildlife and joining the conservation efforts.
You don’t need to have prior qualifications to participate in a wildlife internship with Kaya – your placement will accommodate for the skills and qualification that you bring with you. These programs are open to anyone with a passion for wildlife and conservation.
