    For travellers wishing to find paid work in Australia, this can often be easier said than done. Australia is packed with travellers on Working Holiday visas and finding work isn’t always easy. And for the more interesting jobs in the outback, lack of skills and experience can limit your options. If you secure a good job in Australia before you go, then this programme guarantees well-paid work in the Australian outback and provides you with support and advice from when you apply for your visa at home through to when you start the job of your choice. As part of the programme you get an arrival service, introductory agricultural training course as well as backup and support for the whole of your year in Australia. In terms of self financing travel there are few more sustainable ways to see the world. Many of the jobs offered by this programme include your food and accommodation while in the outback, allowing you to leave at the end of your working holiday with the freedom of knowing you have your wages saved up in your back pocket to travel around Australia or see the world!

  • Why the project needs you

    In over 18 years no one has left this programme without a job to go to as there are 1800 employers Australia-wide waiting for you to arrive. It not only allows you to guarantee work before you leave home but also guidance and arrangement of important paperwork such as your Australian tax number, bank account and Medicare card (if appropriate) that is necessary to make you employable. Outback farms and ranches find it difficult to identify and recruit trained staff remotely, so your completion of the course and references from the instructors are the recommendations they are looking for.

    For those not eligible for a working holiday visa, you are still welcome join this placement and accept jobs on voluntary basis or working for accommodation and board only.

    *Working Holiday Visa available to people aged 18-30 from certain countries including UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Scandanavia, Netherlands, Turkey, Japan, Korea (you must not have previously worked under this Visa in Australia)
