ADULT EDUCATION VOLUNTEER
As an education volunteer, you can choose to work on a Kaya project which focusses on educating adults. In developing countries, many adults are not given the opportunity to go into mainstream education or learn English. Providing this education can make a huge impact on the local community and speaking English can be beneficial for those looking for jobs. As an education volunteer you can support the work being done by local teachers by working with small groups – a rare opportunity for the students. Or if you are a qualified teacher, you could provide support, or even some training, for the local teachers as an education volunteer. FIND OUT MORE
CHILD EDUCATION VOLUNTEER
If you are interested in working with children, becoming an education volunteer is a great way to share your passions to support those in developing countries. We all know the importance of education and joining an education volunteer project helps provide children with a better start to life and a brighter future. Education volunteers are a vital resource for our projects as student numbers are so high. Again, if you are a qualified teacher you can share your expertise and potentially offer training to local staff if you become an education volunteer with Kaya. FIND OUT MORE
SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION VOLUNTEER
As a special needs education volunteer you will work with local staff who support children and adults with a range of special needs. Some students will need support in day-to-day activities like eating and dressing, while others may need physical assistance and development. If you have skills or qualifications in a certain area speak to an advisor about how you can get involved. In developing countries, people with special needs often find it difficult to gain access to support. Therefore, by becoming a special needs education volunteer you can help those who perhaps need it the most. FIND OUT MORE
