Nutrition Internships

Each internship has its own goals that reflect the local demographic and food options. Common internship activities include meal preparation, serving, weight monitoring for children, and leading community awareness sessions. Through this experience, you’ll gain insights into the cultural significance of different foods, food access, and availability, and the challenge of incorporating vegetables into daily diets.

Poor nutrition affects millions globally, leading to malnutrition and often causing problems such as stunted growth and poor school performance in children. As a Kaya nutrition intern, you’ll be at the forefront of efforts to improve diets and nutrition in communities around the world.

Choose from a variety of nutrition internships, including projects aimed at improving nutrition in the Philippines, rural Peru, and Eswatini.

No prior experience is required for most nutrition internships, although if you have the expertise or are studying in the fields of nutrition, community health, or child development, these placements may be of interest to you. A genuine interest in nutrition and a willingness to help where needed are essential, as our internships are centered on placements that promote healthy living and better diets for local communities.
