“I most enjoyed helping the doctors during their appointments with the patients. This allowed me to gain some basic medical skills such as taking blood pressure, testing blood sugar or urine, and listening to the heart and lungs of a patient. I also was able to learn more about the ins and outs of doctor-patient interactions.

Participating in a program with Kaya helped me to get out and start exploring the world in a way where I knew I would be comfortable. I was able to challenge my boundaries while knowing that I was supported. I now have many new connections in a new area of the world and was able to build my confidence to explore and my awareness as a global citizen.”
