Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Internships

Join Kaya on a physical health therapy internship and work with organizations providing support to communities in need of speech, occupational, or physical health therapy services. Each project has a unique focus, with some requiring support from therapists with diverse backgrounds, while others specialize in a specific area, such as occupational health or speech. You will work in various settings including clinics, community centers, and patient’s homes, and may participate in activities such as hands-on treatment, patient consultations, and capacity building, by training local staff and carers in certain techniques. You will find the internship deeply fulfilling as you assist local teams in providing essential therapy services to members of our local communities.

Millions of people around the world are affected by disabilities and injuries that, without proper therapy, can severely impact their quality of life. Often, people with disabilities are confined to their homes and unable to participate in community activities or secure employment. Access to trained therapists or treatment centers is often limited, making home-based care and outreach services crucial. As a therapy intern with Kaya, you will make a positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable members of the community.
