- Physiotherapy Internship in Vietnam
What is the Physiotherapy Internship in Vietnam all about?
Join this internship in Vietnam and help jumpstart your career as a physiotherapist whilst experiencing a new culture and meeting new people!
As an intern you will gain valuable practical experience, observing and assisting both physiotherapists and medical doctors at a hospital based rehabilitation centre.
Why choose this Physiotherapy Internship programme in Vietnam?
The main goal of the internship is to enhance your understanding of the physiotherapy field through hands-on work, learn different practices that you may not be familiar with, and ultimately help prepare you for a career as a physiotherapist.
The Internship
You will observe patients with a range of medical conditions and injuries, and work closely with experienced professionals. You will also have the chance to apply your knowledge and skills with patients under careful guidance. The resident physiotherapist will advise on your training plan, based on your preferences, the duration of your internship, the priorities of the hospital and the needs of the patients.
You will have the opportunity to see treatment for a range of ailments, view diagnostic imaging tests, learn about different therapies and traditional medicine interventions. You will be helping a variety of patients, including those with ACL tears or sprains, those affected by strokes, scoliosis, musculoskeletal disorder, bone fractures and tuberculosis.
All interns are asked to produce an end of placement report or presentation to reflect on your learning and share recommendations with the local project team. It is recommended that you bring a laptop with you to enable you to do this and other project activities.

Where will I work in Vietnam?
You will be living in Ho Chi Minh City; a bustling and vibrant metropolis in Southern Vietnam. The city is constantly buzzing with activity, with streets filled with motorbikes, street vendors, and people going about their daily routines. The lively markets are a must-visit for tourists looking to sample some delicious local cuisine and mingle with locals.
Culturally, the city offers a diverse range of experiences, with museums, temples, gardens and galleries to explore in your free time. At weekends, venture further afield and explore the underground world of the famous Chu Chi Tunnels. Or for a peaceful escape from the city, head to the beach and relax.
