Emmanuelle’s Peru Experience

“I spent a large part of my time taking care of the children, when the young mothers were busy with either cooking, washing, learning, or doing other activities. This included playing with them, giving them food at lunchtime, putting them to sleep when needed, etc.

Some mothers were at school or work when I was at the project, but some others were around, and it was possible to do some activities with them: I taught English 3 times in 3 weeks, and taught one of them to play flute. When needed, I also helped in the kitchen with cleaning or cooking.

The people here are extremely kind, the country is amazingly beautiful, and there is a lot to do as volunteer, so it is overall an amazing experience!”
