“What was your greatest achievement?
My most significant accomplishment during this internship lies in my deepened understanding of international marketing and website design, which enabled me to make substantial contributions to my placement’s export efforts to the US market. During my internship, I’ve derived immense satisfaction from knowing that I’ve made a tangible impact, even though the full fruits of my labor may manifest down the road. Witnessing the progress of the newly designed website and observing the preliminary export calculations and connections being put into action to advance our products into the US market, both online and in physical stores, is incredibly rewarding. This experience has taught me the value of patience and the profound sense of accomplishment that comes with contributing to a company’s long-term success.
What advice would you give future participants?
To future participants, I’d emphasize the importance of genuine open-mindedness, curiosity, and venturing beyond your comfort zone. Expect culture shock initially, but remember that it’s a temporary phase. The real treasures lie in forging deeper connections with locals, as this effort yields profoundly enriching experiences and diverse perspectives that make the journey truly worthwhile. Patience and an open heart are your best tools for unlocking the true essence of any international experience.
What was your most memorable moment?
One of the most cherished memories from my internship was the company retreat during my final week in Vietnam. Over two blissful days in a beachside city, I had the privilege of relaxing and bonding with co-workers and their families. It was a delightful culmination of the cross-cultural relationships I’d nurtured throughout my internship, truly immersing me in the warm embrace of the family life in Vietnam. This experience not only highlighted the professional growth but also the profound personal connections I’d forged during my time with the company.
