Top 3 Wildlife Conservation Programs for Travel in 2021

Looking to gain experience in the fields of Animal Science, Wildlife Conservation or Marine Biology? Well, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled a short list of our top 3 Wildlife Conservation programs available for responsible travel in 2021. But don’t worry, we have many more where these came from!

Travel in 2021 - Marine Science

Marine Science Internship in Belize

If you’re looking to travel and gain experience in the Marine Conservation field, this might be the ideal option for you! Study Marine Science on the tiny island of Tobacco Caye. Feeding into the work of the Belize Fisheries Department, live at a research station and learn about the world’s second-largest coral reef and plastic pollution. Also, practice species identification, spearing, and data collection! The program even includes a 10-day series of lectures on Marine Conservation. Here, interns will learn about coral identification, common Caribbean reef fish identification, and much more, before working on important research work.

What does Covid-safety look like in Belize? Well, it looks pretty good, because it includes a hammock!

Travel in 2021 - Measuring Teeth

Pre-Veterinary Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Internship in Zimbabwe

If you’re interested in Wildlife Conservation, Zoology, Veterinary Science or Animal Care, we’ve got you covered. This is an incredible option for travel in 2021. And, like all of our currently available programs, it’s relatively low-risk because the location is remote. But most importantly, we have established a set of stringent Covid-19 safety protocols (remember to mask up!).

During this internship, work at one of Africa’s oldest wildlife sanctuaries, learning about and engaging in the care and rehabilitation of a range of species. Species include leopards, lions, buffalo, monkeys, antelopes and a range of exotic birds! Wherever possible, these animals are rehabilitated and returned to their natural habitats. The animals’ weight, teeth, and size are recorded to monitor the overall well-being of animals in the area.

So, are you ready to get your hands dirty?
