Looking to do something different and meaningful this winter break? Join one of Kaya’s volunteering projects in Africa or Asia, and truly give back this festive season. Whether you are passionate about wildlife conservation, economic development or community and education initiatives, we can help find the perfect project for you!
Here are just a few of our projects running over the Christmas period:
Community Volunteering in Zambia
Instead of overindulging this Christmas, immerse yourself in a different culture and give back to a local community near the glorious Victoria Falls, Zambia. You will assist local staff in running educational and interactive activities for disadvantaged children, as well as helping out with local initiatives to support the elderly and vulnerable members of the community. Find out more about the project here!
Volunteer at a Community Centre in Cambodia
Put all of your creativity and energy to good use by joining one of our many projects in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Working in a local school and community centre, you can assist with the delivery of pre-school sessions, develop and lead music, dance or drama workshops, or get your hands dirty with building and gardening. Speak to our placement team about the wide range of activities you can get involved in.
Become a Wildlife Conservation Volunteer in Zimbabwe
For all animal lovers, why not spend time at a wildlife sanctuary in Zimbabwe, and help care for sick, injured and/or orphaned animals. Assist with the rescue, rehabilitation and release of some of Africa’s most iconic and vulnerable wildlife and make it a Christmas to remember. Details about the project can be found here.
Engage in a Cultural Exchange in Morocco
We have a variety of volunteer placements and internships to choose from, whether you are looking to gain some experience in your chosen field or utilise your teaching and childcare skills over the winter holiday. Check out our Morocco page for more details.
