I know I made a difference in the daily lives of the staff and patients that I worked with.

I really enjoyed being able to work with the kids and connect with them.
I got to interact with so many exotic animals, and I learned so much about the care for them.
I enjoyed the motivation of the kids and women when teaching them at school.
I enjoyed thinking of activities for the women and children to do.
What task on your project did you most enjoy? Attending the Board meeting of the agricultural cooperative I worked for. What was your greatest achievement? The people I have worked with have taught me a lifetime of knowledge.
I was proud that I got out of the country and traveled all by myself and that I took an opportunity to intern abroad.
It is life changing, and it is so much fun. You meet loads of new people and make so many new memories and have the best experiences.
I feel that everyday being with the kids and putting a smile on their face made a difference.
[I enjoyed] getting to spend time, help out, and get to know the clinic workers.
What task on your project did you most enjoy? Game drives and data collection. What was your greatest achievement? My independent project because it was something I did on my own. Great communication from beginning to end.
Throughout my time here, I had the chance to delve into various aspects of legal cases, and these experiences have broadened my perspective and provided valuable insights into the Law field. I genuinely appreciate the guidance and support I received from the team, which have contributed significantly to my professional growth.
I most enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with the kids at the school. The teachers were so kind and took care of the kids so well. I loved spending time with the kindergarteners in the courtyard, pushing them on the swing or helping them on the monkey bars. It was so inspiring to work with young kids in a different country and language, and I was really moved by the compassion of the teachers.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at the placement! I’ve learnt so much and am so sad to be leaving this week. It’s been such a wonderful experience and I definitely plan to come back.
Everything is good. Andy and all the volunteers are super nice and welcoming. I didn’t have any troubles on my travels.
Everything is going great at my placement! Everyone has been welcoming and so nice. This morning, we took the cars to see the animals in the reserve. I’ve seen lions, elephants, monkeys and many more animals.
I am loving it here at my placement in Kruger!! Everyone is very friendly and the accommodation is beautiful.
My experience in Thailand has been great so far. Everybody here is so kind and welcoming, and I’ve visited so many cool places on the weekends. My time at the clinic has been great and has been keeping me busy, especially dealing with a couple of mosquito outbreaks over the past two weeks.
The most memorable moment is learning about Zambia traditional marriage where every volunteer participated at the event. It was fun as we got to see how marriage is performed in their country.
I changed a lot, gained a lot of maturity and I improved my English.
It is a fantastic well thought out programme with a supportive local team. I would thoroughly recommend Kaya.
The students I’m rooming with at my project are very nice and so far it has been a lovely experience. I have the least experience and, as a result, I am learning a lot.
